There are two golf courses in Lombok \u2013 one located in the northwest with fabulous views of the ocean and with Mt Rinjani visible to the east; the other located inland on the cool southern foothills of Mt Rinjani amidst the lush greenery of the Lombok countryside.

Sire Beach Golf Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sire Beach Golf Club is located on the shores of Sire Beach in northwest Lombok, close to the Oberoi and Tugu hotels. It is less than one hour\u2019s drive from Senggigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This world-class course was designed by Thomson, Wolveridge and Perrett, who have respected the unique setting and contours of the location. The 18 hole, par 72 championship course (6245 meters) offers world-class challenges for golfing enthusiasts of all levels in a natural and picturesque environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Holes 1 – 9 face the sea, with the signature No. 4 hole adjacent to the white sandy beach of Sire Bay. Holes 10 – 18 face the mountains with stunning views of Mt Rinjani and includes hole No.12, the largest on the course with a handicap of 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sire Beach Golf Club is popular with Lombok expatriates and locals, as well as the Bali and Gili set who regularly zoom across from the Gilis to play a round of golf and have a late lunch at the Oberoi or the Hotel Tugu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G.E.C. Rinjani Golf Country Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rinjani Golf Course is the oldest on Lombok and is situated in Golong, close to Narmada, and around 30 minutes\u2019 drive from Mataram. The 18 hole, par 72 international standard course has two very different 9-hole layouts, providing challenges for golfers of all levels. The first 9 holes feature a reasonably flat landscape amongst palms and coconut groves; the second 9 is undulating and planted with lush tropical trees and flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rinjani is a true Country Club with private villa accommodation, a club house and pro shop, tennis court, swimming pool and restaurant. The location on the foothills of the Rinjani mountain range creates a cool and refreshing climate, with lovely mountain views in the lush countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
