WILL JETSTAR RESUME DIRECT LOMBOK FLIGHTS THIS YEAR?
Rumours continue to circulate that Jetstar Airways will resume direct flights between Australia and Lombok soon – possibly by the end of this year.
While whispers about resumption of the flights have been circulating for most of this year, the possibility seems to be becoming more likely, with Jetstar executives visiting Lombok last month to meet with airport and tourism officials to discuss the deal.
Jetstar previously operated direct flights between Perth and Lombok from September 2013 but suspended the route just over a year later, in October 2014.
CONCORDIA LOUNGE NOW OPEN AT LOMBOK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The new Concordia Lounge is now open at Lombok International Airport (LIA). Located on the 3rd floor in the departure terminal, the exclusive lounge offers a variety of facilities for travellers.
This is the only part of the third floor of the airport to be opened to date. Many people have never seen the third floor at LIA, as it was part of the original construction of the airport but was never finished or opened until now.
The new lounge is stylish, modern and very clean; and a much better option than the dismal and dirty Sky One Lounge on the 2nd floor!
Back in the 90’s, Gili Trawangan was just a small dot on the backpacker trail east of Bali.
Accommodation was mostly limited to thatched huts on the northeast coast, with places like the old “Good Heart Bungalows” offering a basic bed and mandi bathroom for less than $5 a night.
A bamboo lean-to on the beach dispensed nasi goreng to hungry beachgoers and, at sunset, the local ladies would furtively dispense large bottles of Bintang beer from coolers filled with melted ice water hidden behind the huts.
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend to Husband and noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance, particularly in the Flower and Jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend.
In addition, Husband uninstalled many other valuable programmes, such as Romance and Personal Attention and then installed undesirable programmes such as Rugby, Football, Drinking and Continuous TV.
