THERMAL SCANNING INTRODUCED AT LOMBOK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Port health authorities have tightened the monitoring of travellers at Lombok International Airport in an attempt to prevent the spread of the Zika virus, particularly by travellers arriving from Singapore and Malaysia.
The Port Health Office (KKP) has installed thermo-scanners at the airport’s international arrival terminal to monitor passengers’ temperatures on arrival from international destinations.

“The Great Lombok Walk” is coming up on 1 October – this is your chance to support some of Lombok’s most under-privileged and needy children!
Starting from Saturday, 1 October, Australian expat and mother of two, Fiona Forrest will walk her way around the island of Lombok to raise money for “Lombok Forgotten Children / Endri Foundation” – a local charity that provides life saving help to sick, disabled and dying people, many of them children, who live in Lombok and who are largely ignored or “forgotten” by society.
