TWO MAJOR HOTELS CONFIRMED FOR SOUTH LOMBOK
Two major investors have confirmed that they will build five-star hotels in South Lombok over the next two years.

WEST LOMBOK BUPATI GETS 7 YEARS ON APPEAL
West Lombok Regent (Bupati) Zaini Arony has failed in his appeal against his 4 year jail sentence for aggravated extortion.
Judges at the High Court in Denpasar heard the Bupati’s appeal at the end of 2015 and on 8 January 2016 ruled that, rather than reducing his sentence, the punishment would increase from 4 years to 7 years in prison.
PROPOSED POWER PLANT INVESTMENT IN LOMBOK
Two investors have applied to build steam power plants (PLTU) with a capacity of 150 megawatts in Lombok.
The Head of the provincial office of Capital Investment Agency (BPMPT), Ridwansyah said that one of the prospective investors was a domestic company and the other a foreign investor. Read more...
GARUDA STARTS FLIGHTS BETWEEN BALI AND SHANGAI
Garuda Indonesia has commenced direct flights between Bali and Shanghai, China. The first direct flight between Bali and Shanghai took place on 12 January 2016.

Gula Gila – it translates as either ‘Crazy Sugar’ or ‘Sugar Crazy’ – is the latest venture of Kebun Villas and Resort in Senggigi.
