VISA FREE… BUT NOT FOR LOMBOK!

At the beginning of September, Indonesia added another 47 countries to its list of those able to enter the country visa free.

Added to the 30 countries granted visa free entry in June 2015 and another 15 countries already on the list, this brings the total number of on the visa free list to 92 countries.

HANDS OFF OUR BEACHES TWBI!

Back in March 2015, we became aware that an Indonesian company was attempting to dredge sand from East Lombok beaches and transport it to Bali to be used as infill in the controversial Benoa Bay Reclamation Project.

At the time, the Governor of NTB (Lombok and Sumbawa) announced that he had formally rejected the plans as “the disadvantages outweighed the advantages” of the proposed sand mining activity.
