FABULOUS NEW GYM AT THE SHERATON!

Finding a great gym in Lombok is not easy! Most hotels don’t have the budget to set up a good gym and the local gyms that do exist are usually over-crowded, with out-of-date equipment and in inconvenient locations.

Now the Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort has solved this problem by opening their fabulous newly renovated fitness centre to outside guests.

CLASSICAL MUSIC COMES TO LOMBOK

Classical music lovers are in for a rare treat when renowned Indonesian pianist, Imma Setiadi (currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London) and her professor, Nigel Clayton, visit Lombok later this month!

Imma and Nigel will be in Lombok to host a workshop and master class for music teachers, music students and their parents on Tuesday, 25 August at Airlangga Square in Mataram.

GET READY FOR MORE POWER CUTS

Residents in Lombok have been warned to get ready for more power cuts over the next couple of months, as the PLN carries out repairs at the problem-plagued Jeranjang Power Plant.

The PLN (the state-owned power authority) issued a letter to the Governor and regional authorities on 28 July 2015 advising that rolling blackouts would take place from that date until 25 September.

The Minister for Manpower in Indonesia announced major changes to the existing manpower regulations in Indonesia on 29 June 2015.

The Ministry for Manpower regulates employment in Indonesia, including rules for employing foreigners in the country.
