With the Easter holidays on the way and the worst of the monsoon weather over – the skies have cleared and beautiful weather is here again – now is a perfect time to escape to Lombok for a bit of R & R!

The popular beach club has been serving only snacks – including their fabulous tapas platters – until now. However, last week saw the launch of their new restaurant menu, with a small but delicious selection of meals available for lunch and dinner.
Trekking routes on Mt Rinjani are currently closed but the 2015 trekking season will commence on 1 April and a group of concerned nature lovers want to make sure the volcano is in peak condition for the start of the season.
National Park authorities close Lombok’s famous volcano to trekking at the beginning of January every year for three months, as it is considered too dangerous due to heavy rainfall and high winds. The National Park also needs time to recover from the tens of thousands of people who hike the trails each year.
