The pristine beauty of our jungles and forests, the magnificence of our volcano and mountains, and the idyllic lure of our clean beaches and islands – are all the most obvious attractions to visitors to Lombok.
Less well-known is the richness of Lombok’s heritage, the exotic cultural rituals and traditions, and the beauty and friendliness of our local people. Isn’t it time you discovered the real Lombok?
The tradition of weaving cloth in Pringgasela is so old no one quite knows where the original idea came from. All that the people of Pringgasela know is that weaving is the life-blood of their village and has been practiced for as long as anyone remembers.
The village of Pringgasela is located in East Lombok, around 65kms and around two hours’ drive from Senggigi. Together with the village of Sukarare in Central Lombok, it is famous throughout Indonesia for the traditional woven fabrics known as Ikat and Songket.
In the final lead up to the hosting of the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Bali in early October, travellers are reminded that Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport will be closed for extended periods between 5 and 9 October, 2013.

The Lombok International Dance Festival features two days of dance performances, with the main focus on the Gala Event, held on the second day, where the top dancers compete in the finals.

It is also the one time of the year when local performers have the chance to demonstrate their skills to a wider audience, in front of an international panel of renowned dance adjudicators.

PT Angkasa Pura I (API, the airport management authority) began the process of relocating all operational aspects of its service to international air passengers to its newly-opened international terminal at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on 19 September 2013.
Good day all and welcome to paradise! It’s still busy on Gili Trawangan, with the crowd shifted from single party people to couples on holiday. I guess all the kids are back in school as they should be!
We’ve been especially busy at Gili T Resort, preparing for the “soft opening” of our new spa. My wife, Iga, has been running around like crazy to make a great spa area on our upper deck, so everyone can now enjoy a foot massage, manicure and pedicure, all while overlooking the ocean and sipping wine!
An intimate party of 40 guests from all over the globe had fun on Gili Air for a couple of weeks, before
